Renewable Newstead is seeking expressions of interest from landholders around Newstead to lease land for a small-scale solar park.

Parcels of 20 hectares or less in the 3462 postcode are sought.

Flattish land near powerlines with few trees and good road access is preferred.

The land can be part of a larger holding: it will be fenced off and secured separately and can be grazed by sheep.

The land would be leased for 20 years.

The land will host the physical infrastructure for a small scale 2-10MW solar park which includes solar panels, links to nearby powerlines and a battery/ies for storing solar power.

The park will supply renewable energy to at least the town of Newstead and surrounds.

Interested parties should submit expressions of interest by 5pm, May 15 by completing an EoI form (see below) and returning it to info@renewablenewstead.com.au or to RN Solar Park Expression of Interest C/O Don Culvenor, PO Box 53, Newstead. 3462.

All land parcels offered will be further evaluated for suitability and subject to further lease negotiations.

Submitting an EOI is not a binding obligation on the land holder or Renewable Newstead.

If you have further questions, please phone Don Culvenor on 0427 57 35 36.
